Cork Farm Equestrian Bit Bank Information

Cork Farm Equestrian now offers a Bit Bank service to UK customers that lets you try out our bits on your horse before committing to purchase. Bits are sold with a 30 day trial period & if unsuitable must be returned to us within 30 days from the date of purchase. We strive to send new bits to our customers each time; however due to stock levels this is not always possible. This means that you may receive a used bit to trial. If you do receive a previously trialled bit & you are happy with it you can choose to keep the bit or you can return it to us in exchange for a new bit - subject to current new bit stock levels & any postage costs.

It is the customer's responsibility to take care of the bit. Please make sure that the bit is kept in good condition throughout the trial period. The customer is also responsible that the bit is kept safe from theft and loss, as you cannot request a refund for the bit after the 30 day trial.

It is recommended that the bits are returned via a recorded & insured postal facility as we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage in transit to returned items.

The 30 day trial period will start from the date of purchase & if the bit is unsuitable or you would like to request an exchange for a new bit the item must be back here with us within 30 calendar days from the date of purchase maximum.

On receipt of a returned bit we will refund you the price paid minus a hire charge for the Myler 04 Hanging Cheek Low Port Comfort Snaffle of £20 levied on returned bits.

Should you want to return the bit to us please make sure that you clean the bit thoroughly. Please clean the bit with warm water only to remove any residue. We will thoroughly clean and disinfect all bits returned to us to kill any germs & bacteria. We also request that you thoroughly clean & disinfect the bit yourself again on receipt as a double precaution as we cannot be held responsible for any diseases, infections, viruses, mouth sores, ulcers or any other medical condition that appears after trialling one of our bits.

Myler's no-pinch ISM version of French Link with port 

Acts on the  tongue and corners of bars, gently wrapping lips, but the port gives more tongue relief when the bit is not engaged by the rider.

Level Two - ideal for the intermediate horse but also for many beginners. This bit encourages horse to bend, balance and relax at the poll. The 04 will take a horse further than 02 or a traditional snaffle due to greater tongue relief.

 

The Comfort Snaffle Low Port Mouth Piece.

Design: Curved mouthpiece with low ported centre barrel.

Function: Puts pressure in the tongue and the corners of the bars. Collapses slightly on the lips. Will not pinch bars or tongue. No palate pressure. Offers some tongue relief before restricting tongue. Each side of the mouthpiece moves independantly.

Level: Two

Usage/Solution for: The MylerLow Port Comfort Snaffle is a good choice for a beginning or intermediate horse. Working off the lips, bars and tongue, it encouragesthe horse to relax at the poll by offering tongue relief before restricting the tongue. Independant Side Movement allows the rider to isolate one side and lift a shoulder. A good alternative to the traditional snaffle, the MB 04 works well for bending and encourages thehorse to relax at the poll.
